Good day today

Not a bad day: Went into town with aunty, bought a few things I needed, had plum cake, had good weather; then did some gardening, actually, lots of gardening, digging up strawberry plants to move them to another corner of our poor massacred garden (our landlady chopped off most of our shrubs a few weeks ago); then we went to IKEA and bought glasses and a new plaid for me. (I love blankets and plaids, jackets and boxes/containers - these are items that always get my attention in shops; I hate shoes, blouses and cars - those are completely underneath my radar). The kids were well-behaved all day, and so was aunty (she's 85 and often high maintanance).

Unfortunately, the whole plagiarism issue is still unresolved. I read all the comments and posts - if I see them - but I don't comment a lot because I'm still waiting for an official statment.

I received feedback for Dealing from people I don't know. Cool. And also damn! Because I'm really in the mood to write but can't. I don't have the time.

Tomorrow it's Toyah's pirate-y birthday party. It was supposed to take place last week but too many of the invited kids had other events to go to. So we moved the date to tomorrow.


Tomorrow I have to:

• hide a treasure and make a map


• decorate the garden with balloons


• turn a chocolate cake into a pirate ship


• gather all dressing up materials


• shop for groceries


• defrost the chocolate cake


• make cheese-grape snacks


• find sea shells to decorate the table with


• prepare candles for the cake


• buy a lighter


• find a pirate song we can sing


• prepare the Pirate's diplomas


• force hubby into a Pirate's costume

*sigh*

And I don't know that you're going to get an official statement. It's all whining and "poor me" in her journal.

You did see the link to the plagarized fic from back in January, too, right? jainieg, who wrote it, is in Florida and so maybe hasn't seen the email I sent her yet. (I know she's still around lj since she's running the graphics team for ats_nolimits.)
