I posted a postscriptum to yesterday's plagaiarims post which you can find here. Are you getting bored already? Do you want to forget about the whole thing and move on to nicer topics? Can't blame you. Wish I could. *sigh*

Well, I better get back to writing fic. Maybe that will cheer me up. *ponders which WIP to tackle*

What a horrible job you've had to deal with, but you've handled it brilliantly. Well done.

I'm sure that there's a bunch of people who just want it all to go away, and you'll probably get some nasty replies from other group mods who want to know why they're being dragged into a fic situation when their group is for icons. And it seems as though there are some who just don't get it, who don't understand the damage that plagiarism can do and the reasons it's a crime.

So yes, let's write fic and spend time with our beloveds and make dinner and go to a movie, but we're big, strong women, we can do more than one thing at a time. I'm very proud and relieved that you're seeing this all the way through. The online fic community will be the stronger for it.

I'm seriously impressed by how you've handled this crisis. You've been scrupulously fair but not afraid to be just, you've done some extraordinary detective work in digging up Red and Oric, and you've done a real service to fandom in publicising the case. Above all, you didn't flinch from following this through - you didn't simply deal with it on a local level by rebuking Nora, you saw the wider implications and invested a huge amount of time and energy into dealing with them. It's a great pity that you're moderator of [livejournal.com profile] spiketara and not President of the United States, because the world would be in a much happier state with people like you in positions of real power. [livejournal.com profile] estepheia for President!

President?

LOL, thank you for much needed comic relief.
Seriously, you would not want me for a president. Every single lobby would hate me. I wouldn't last 5 minutes as el Presidente.

I'm so sorry you've had to go through this but I'm so impressed with the thoughtful, fair approach you've employed.

::hugs you::

Too early in the morning for me to write the splendid tribute that you deserve for how well you've handled the situation, but I will say that my respect for you, already a thriving and substantial thing, has increased a gajillion times. And that is so a number. I swear. ;)

**hugs**

It's taken a lot of guts (and energy) to champion this cause. You should be proud of the fact that you didn't just resolve the one issue that was handed to you. You went the extra bit and got your hands dirty, trying to expose all the plagerism related to the one writer (and hopefully, exposing plagerism on a grander scale as a result.)

Well done.

Adding my bit to the encouragement and admiration of your actions and attitude. There's nothing I admire more than fairness and that's what you've shown.

Again, you've gone above and beyond with this. I can understand the desire to move on, but I also can't help feeling that's what she's hoping for and the reason why she's been laying low.

I also notice that at least one of her friends has shown up decrying your efforts and saying you should have kept this quieter. I fear you may get more.

Also, this has shown up on fandom_wank, btw, though it passed without many comments.

I don't know the community or anyone who is directly involved, but I do want to say I've been very impressed with your patience in handling it. It's an incredibly difficult situation, and cases like this do seem to impact the moral of the fandom, at least of those parts of the fandom that it affects. You've handled it very well. *hugs*

As a fanfic reader, I appreciate your time in Hell so as to vouchsafe that we readers will be assured that we are reading the work of writers, not plagiarists.

Thank you; I know the last few days have seemed like the darkest corners of Hell.
