Spike/Ethan

Holy Moses, writing an essay on Spike/Ethan is hard. It's like trying to sell freezers to eskimos. *grumbles*
I mean, I can list similarities and conflicts,and I have a clear idea why *I* like the pairing, but what I'm writing reads kinda boring. For a proper sales pitch, for an essay that is suited to launch a thousand fics, or, well, maybe a dozen or so, I have to be not only convincing but also irresistable.

Do I quote? Do I list epis? Do I quote from interviews? Do I suggest plot bunnies? *sigh*
Which reminds me. Whatever happened to the Jane Espenson video made during writercon? I'd love to quote what wonderful!Jane said on Ethan and Giles.

I can't help you with the Jane Espenson quote, but I can give you a Robin Sachs quote from the Eclipse convention in London (2002)

When asked about the sexual tension between Giles and Ethan (and slashfic) Robin replied "I think they were just friends - but one of them wants it to be more"

Unfortunately, the only one I know of that's available to view is on the Buffy: Chaos Bleeds (PS2) special features at the end of the game. I'll see if I can get it somewhere for you to download *wanders off to look*

Thank you so much. Brilliant link. I enjoyed watching him. He is such a charmer. LOL. It's actually odd seeing him in blue jeans and t-shirt. :-)

Ethan is about to do some chest painting in my fic. LOL.

Too bad I never experienced Robin in real life. There are not many stars were I even feel the faintest desire to chat with them, but I like the wicked, hedonistic vibe he has given Ethan. Do you have a longer post somewhere about your encounter with Robin?
