- Tina and Toyah are now fully fledged Starwars fans. They both want to marry Luke and Toyah wants a light sabre for christmas so she can fight against the bad guys. Yay!
- I managed to finish my Spike/Ethan essay on time. It received nice feedback and a few commenters expressed an interest in reading or writing the pairing. *crosses fingers*
- The whole family wenton a day trip to an amusement park yesterday. Have no time to catch up with yesterday's LJ posts. Hope nothing really important happened. Today I have to gamemaster a fantasy roleplaying session - so I will be away from LJ as well. Ack.
- Still no news from my dad. We sent him prints of recent photos of our kids. Every time an email drops into the mailbox I fear the worst. *sigh*
- The book copy of The Celluloid Closet that I ordered second hand via Amazon? The seller sent the wrong book. I can get a refund but the book I want is gone. Ack. I'd so looked forward to owning this book. The only copy listed at Amazon now would cost 40 EUR. Too much for me. :-(
- I have 90 auctions ending on ebay this weekend. Finger crossing would be appreciated. Anything over a certain amount will go in my fashion budget. I so need new sweaters.
- We have two invites for Halloween. Whoohooo.
- Two of my stories got nominated for the Shades of Grey Awards. Whoohooo. They are both in the same category, but what the heck. *dances with joy* Also Knocking on Heaven's Door got recced at BBF. Yay!
- Am itching to write more Dealing, but unfortunately my day is crammed full with domestic stuff. Bah.
ETA: Tina is crying because she is bored. It's autumn vacation, but our daughter is crying because she wants to go back to school.

Date: 2004-10-15 05:16 pm (UTC)Yesterday I was talking to hubby about love triangles and kita's essay on B/S/A - and the fact that ostensibly the men are both in love with the woman, but that the relationship between the men is more vibrant.
Thoughtful hubby said: so if you say Ethan and Spike are too alike, shouldn't you put Giles into the middle? Shouldn't that spice things up?
Smart hubby. I am beginning to think that a G/E/S triangle with jealous E and S would work splendidly. :-)
Fic update you requested.
Date: 2004-11-29 10:43 pm (UTC)You had asked that I keep you posted if I wrote more of my Thank Heavens for Little Girls fic. I recently posted a little prequel scene, so it doesn't really advance the plot, but sets the stage a bit. If you're interested, it's here.
P.S. I'm replying here because it fits the thread of this discussion. :-)
Take care.

She doesn't understand that you are never bored if you have books.
