I don't know if this will help any, but when I'm feeling inexplicably down and restless I go running a few miles. So far it has helped every single time, it's like whatever chemical balance in the brain is messed up, gets restored. (I think there're scientific studies which back that up as well... anyway, it works wonders. And it's fun.)
