I *heart* [livejournal.com profile] wickedfox. She changed her Ethain-in-a-straitjacket manip and turned it into a banner for my Ethan fic Room with no View. She also made me an Ethan manip where Ethan has a beard. I'll have to get hubby to make me an icon from that pic. Whoheee. :-)

I also *heart* Amazon because all my orders arrived yesterday. Yay!

On a whim, followed the link to the story and read it.

Damn, that was depressing. But powerful, really powerful. I maintain that monotony is the worst kind of torture that there is, and you described it amazingly.

Thank you very much. Not many people read my Ethan fics but I find him very interesting. The story wasn't intended to be as depressing. But I make up for it in most of my other stories - in those he fares better. :-)

That's a pity! Personally, I love Ethan and find him fascinating. One of my favorite characters! And the Ethan/Giles pairing is one of my favorites as well. I've even written it once, and considering how little I write I think that says something.

I know you've written other Ethan fic. And I might just finally have some free time in which to read it.

Well, I was always overwhelmed by Spike but somehow since the show ended this lessened a bit, because his moral arc had some closure - whereas Ethan's story is completely open ended. I suppose that's the reason why I've latched on to Ethan lately. More opportunity to write about redemption and change, in small steps, of course...

Ethan's story is certainly very open ended. You can take it in pretty much any direction that you'd like. Redemption or not, with Giles or another.

Though my mind still seems to stay mainly with the bleached blond vampire, closure or no. :)
