Spent all day tidying up the living room, getting it ready for Tina's b-day party on Saturday. The kids felt neglected and were annoying. Bah. When I finally decided I had enough, I tried to write, but it felt like pulling teeth . At least I got to reward myself with the new Lost epi. Still enjoying the show. Same goes for Veronica Mars, which we watched yesterday. Neither show compels me to write fanfic though. Thank god.

Briefly talked to my dad. He brought up the whole who-gets-what-when-he's-dead issue. Wanted to know if I want to have his books. Does he want me to have them? At least I have a working phone number now. I'll try to call him more often. Midnight here is 10 am there - a good time for such calls.

See, that's why I don't tidy. I'm the anti-tidy. Because when you tidy your kids feel neglected and then things just get messed up again and then you feel resentful. Vicious cycle. Whenever I get the urge to tidy, I sit down and play a video game with my son (who is 10, btw) and the urge goes away. I can't really find anything in my house anymore and we have to eat in the living room because the kitchen table is covered with papers and books and old homework of Sam's and a few unfinished art projects, and the dining room table is covered with clean, unfolded laundry. But hey, at least we know where the clean clothes are, right?

Glad you managed to speak to your dad.

Don't know if you got my comment from yesterday about the calendar, which I now have. Want to email me with your address?
