So, Marti Noxon wants James Marsters to star on Point Pleasant? Cool. I saw a few trailers and liked what I saw. As a fan of Buffy S6 I look forward to this show.

wickedfox. Amazing. She really pretties him up, with the scruff and the earring. *purrs*
Watched I Robot again. Seemed longer this time, but I still enjoyed it. I love the guy who played the dead Professor - I always forget his name, but I think he's fabulous.
Spent several hours polishing Dealing - also tried to work on Lucky but got distracted by the family. In that context I'd like to ask something. Someone peddling steroids and similar drugs to college basketball players would go to prison, yes? I am having more evil porny ideas for Lucky - which sucks in a way, because I don't want to spend a lot of time on it. It's odd, some stories draw me in and they just kidnap my brain and get longer and longer, and other stories move in sloooow mo. It's like pulling teeth. Whenever I sit down to write more LTAS (and believe me, I keep trying), my brain just implodes and I feel utterly empty and indecisive. Writing is a succession of decisions: this action or that, cut here or not, this word or that. Being indecisive just won't do. *sigh* I hate hate hate when my brain and my muse do not cooperate.

Date: 2005-01-19 03:46 am (UTC)It depends. Small trafficing, first offense, probation is possible. High volume, and a record, they're probably doing time.

Date: 2005-01-19 09:45 am (UTC)Basically I am looking for a plausible offence for a college basketball player to be put behind bars for. He's not guilty, but gets framed by a cop (Vice Squad). Set in California.

Date: 2005-01-19 08:57 am (UTC)Also? Loved the majority of Marti episodes on BTVS, from What's my line II" onwards. I wish her the best.

Date: 2005-01-19 09:42 am (UTC)I can easily forgive S6 for some of its flaws - and I still believe that Whedon is just as responsible for the things people don't like about S6.
Jane Espenson once said that S7 was so... um problematic, because they were constantly waiting for Joss to okay certain scripts and ideas, and when he finally got round to it, there was always too little time left to fix things satisfactorily. That does not sound to me like Joss ever relinquished control over the show.
I find it impossible to condemn Marti while blithely ignoring the many ways in which Whedon fucked up or disappointed (I still hate Chosen). I think Joss Whedon is funny and smart and he has given us great tv - but not single-handedly.
I guess I wish all the writers good job opportunities and a happy productive career.
