Award ceremony

Just came back from Daniil Pashkoff Prize Award ceremony. It was a great success. We had gracious and happy winners, a good appreciative audience, a good place for the venue (our town's largest book store) and a mostly smooth event. I'm exhausted now. I'm glad it's over. The organizers got very frantic towards the end - the whole email back and forth with file reformatting and whatnot was pretty exhausting. I had to read two stories and I got complimented on my reading. yay. Plus I got flowers for my troubles. But boy, it was HOT. The whole day has been scorching hot. Thirty degrees Celsius. Really really hot.
I think I'm gonna faint now.

He... a 'great time' isnt't quite how I'd describe it. But yeah, the event was a success, that's what counts. Plus I was given flowers, so yay.

It's still hot here. Bah. I just watered the garden, but the flowers look decidedly unhappy and wilted. :-(
