Sometimes you know right from the start that the day is a crap day even though you don't know why. I just had a call from my dad's wife. Dad has been fighting a court case for 8 years now. Apparently a letter he received this week made him worse and he's back in the nursing home again (for the past months he's been alternating between his home and the nursing home). He's on morphine now. *sigh*

So sorry. *hugs* Don't know the specifics, but I do know how stressful court can be. Hope everything works out, for you and your dad.

the court case is a long winded thing. Dad bought a house in Tasmania. One winter there was a lot of rain and the house had excessive water damage because the drainage wasn't functional. Dad was trying to sue the people who brokered the house or who estimated the value of the house because he had assumed the house had proper drainage.... whatever. The house is useless, and my dad spent his last penny sueing for recompense.
Don Quichotte-like. He wasted his final years fighting and now he's too broke and too sick to continue and everybody profited: banks, lawyers - except him and his wife. *sigh*

No chances either for him or the law suit. All I can do is sit here and wait for the bad news... can't afford a flight to Australia...

Thanks. Yeah, my dad got his Australian citizenship in the seventies - He's been living in Tasmania for quite a while now. I visited him there once - a very nice house he had then... too bad... stupid rain!
