I survived the dentist. And my chores yesterday. Then crawled into bed about 8 pm. The stifling heat had shot down my blood pressure. I woke up shortly before midnight and spent a few hours watching TV. I am still watching The Closer - although I'm not entirely sure why. I guess it's the main character. The 4400 hasn't quite hooked me. The Inside has, although not fervently.
A lady I know gave me several of her creative writing books. I also bought a few. I will faithfully review them, as soon as I find the time.
I look forward to a week without internet. I always get a lot of reading done and often a lot of writing too.
I just wish it weren't so hot.

Berlin. One week. We need a holiday. We're staying in a friend's place. We can't afford anything else. Luckily, groceries are cheaper in Berlin, than in Braunschweig, and so is eating out. We'll stuff ourselves with kabobs. Yum!
We'll take a few card games and boardgames along. The idea is to spend quality time together, without the usual distractions.

I will hopefully come back with something written.

Thank you, dear. Yeah, hopefully we'll visit a museum, and the kids would like to go to the IMAX again. :-)
There are also parks and lakes. We'll find something to do, I'm sure.
We'll also take boardgames and cardgames.

It's hot (and humid) over here, too, today even moreso. I'm so glad I don't have to go out (and my sons are old enough to do the shopping for me).

We just had a thunderstorm here. I'm glad the garden got a bit of rain. But my migraine is killing me.

I have no definite plans for our week in Berlin, but maybe we can meet. I'll call you. :-)

Okay. In any case, have a safe trip and a good time. And don't forget to take your girls to FEZ Wuhlheide (right around the corner :-)), it's a wonderful place for children to spend time, and they always have a lot of free events and stuff. My boys always loved it.

Oh, and I hope that migraine goes away quickly. I had a bit of a headache last night myself, and swollen fingers because my body doesn't handle heat well.
