Question: Has anyone on my flist any experience with Writer's Café and StoryLines? How do I make the font larger? And is the bundle worth buying? I downloaded the demo version, but I am not the fastest learner when it comes to exploring new software. I haven't really felt like devoting a lot of time to experimenting with it...
So, any advice you can give me would be appreciated. :-)

I moved my computer out of the cellar today. My desk is now in the guest-room, which used to be the kids' room before they moved into my late granny's room. The room is painted in bright red and orange. And there's a window. Meaning I have better light and more oxygen. Maybe that will help me work.

I tried to write fanfic today, a Riley/Spike scene that I always meant to write. Nothing fancy, just a bit of porn set in a larger story that I'll never have the time to write... I'm not happy with it, but the way I feel today I could write Pulitzer Prize material and still feel it sucks. I'll reread it tomorrow, and if it doesn't suck, I'll post it...

I have the demo too, and I've only played with it a little. So far, I'm not sure it's worth paying for.

Font changing in StoryLines: use Preferences, and then Aesthetics. In Cafe, you can change the Notebook and Journal font the same way. There seems to be a way to change things in the Scrapbook too, but it didn't seem to work properly for me. I've not seen a way to change other fonts and displays, though I can't say I've looked that hard. I'm on a Mac with OSX Panther, so it's likely to be a bit different on a PC, and may you can change more.

Hope this helps

PS. I doubt that your R/S scene sucks; your writing doesn't. Sometimes it's not as powerful or polished as at other times, and sometimes the idea doesn't work but it never sucks.

Thank you, Freydis, both for your help and for the pep talk.
I managed to make the font larger. :-) I also have a second screen for my compi now, so I can look at several things at the same time. Yay!
