Ho boy, we just moved my 91+  aunty from a neighbouring town to our hometown and installed her in a small flat with assisted living. She has diabetes, and was found twice lying in her appartment for hours. She was in hospital for a week, so we had a few days to come up with a solution and more suitable accommodation. We still have to move a few non-essential (but huge) pieces of furniture, we have to renovate the old place and help her settle in, but on the whole we did a good job of getting her here. Only, we're pretty exhausted now.

In between packing and carrying and unpacking boxes, I taught my first Fantasy-writing workshop in German on Saturday - I had 6 kids aged 11 to 14. Fun! They really enjoyed world-building. I have to say that the most interesting/difficult ideas came from Victoria - who is working on her "novel" while I'm typing this. :-)

I have several writing projects of my own going on right now, as well as a couple of collaborations, but progress is slow. *waves at Marcee*

Also on my to do list: mailing out my manuscript to more publishing houses.

One of the things that rarely fails to put me in the writing mood is rereading old fanfic favourites. Yesterday I read Daemons Luminati by Kalima aka [livejournal.com profile] lordshiva . I am grateful that AllaboutSpike is still hosting all those great Spike stories, that Laura collected over the years.

Tell me, which stories do you reread every few years, even if you've moved on to other fandoms?
*waves*

PS: Do any of you guys play Pocketfrogs? Just curious... :-)

Good to hear that your Aunt is settled in a better situation.

I like to re-read Super Food World by ValerieX and Disenchantment by [livejournal.com profile] herself_nyc every once and a while.

Have a happy Easter.

Glad to hear the sitch with your aunt is mostly settled. Sounds like it worked out for the best. And PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not feel pressured to do my thing. It's a passing fancy that will probably add up to a whole lotta nothing. So don't feel pressure or obligation. When you feel like reading, read. When you feel like contributing, contribute. If you just don't feel like it, don't. I'm totally cool with whatever, whenever. Truly. Schmatz!

I haven't read much fanfic in a while, to be honest. But anything by [livejournal.com profile] indri is worth reading.

Glad you got your auntie settled. I know how much hard work that is (not aunties as such, but elderly folk).

I still remember Daemons Luminati with such fondness. So glad All About Spike still brings enjoyment. :)

I read the story that Avalon wrote - the name of it escapes me at the moment - of course! Buffy and Spike. *sigh*
