AOL sucks

So, I installed AIM on my newish laptop in order to be able to chat again (my username is my lj name). I clicked on the little email button, and lo and behold, I was able to read email sent to my long dormant estepheia aol account. Not sure how the programm knew my password, but hey, I didn't mind. However, since Vista constantly updates crap whenever I'm not looking, I suddenly couldn't access my email anymore and had to reenter all frigging passwords for absolutely everything. My memory makes a sieve look positively solid. So, I don't remember my old estepheia password. And you know what aol's solution is? Sending the new password to my ... yes, you guessed it, to my old estepheia account. The one I can't access.
