Scriptwriters

So I'm watching Dark Angel with hubby (we borrowed both seasons on DVD) and the credits rush past us, when suddenly a name leaps out at me: Doris Egan - credited as Story Editor. AKA
tightropegirl and moments later Joe Molina is credited as one of the writers on the show. And I frown, dig out my Firefly DVDs and it says Joe Molina there - he wrote Ariel. I used to be 'I know that guy/girl from somewhere' girl when watching telly, pondering where I'd seen an actor before. Looks like ME turned me into someone who instinctively reads the names of the writing stuff instead of the actors' names. I like that.
I spent most of the day putting 50 Games Workshop magazines up for auction on ebay. Now please all cross your fingers. I want to make lots of money with these. Most of them are between ten and twenty years old. I'm hoping for something in the range of 250 EUR, because I need to buy myself some new clothes. Hubby shrank one of my sweaters in the wash (yup, he goes through extremely helpful phases), and two of my favorite sweaters have stains that won't come out. Meh.
Plus I should think about getting the kids' Christmas prezzies early. Saves so much stress in December. So, like I said, keep your fingers crossed. And what will I do? Search the cellar for more stuff to auction off. Yup. *puts on resolve face*

Date: 2004-10-07 03:03 pm (UTC)Me too. Though, I don't know all their names. But I am starting to notice things like that more often. Strange that, considering what my career choice is, but there you have it. I'm picking up names of Director's more often too.

Date: 2004-10-08 05:12 am (UTC)I like the setting. It's a clever show with attractive actors and more than decent writing. Nowhere near as good as Firefly, but better than stuff like John Doe. I like it, I'm actually looking forward to watching another epi tonight, but I wouldn't buy the set. I doubt I'll watch any of the epis twice.
I watched S5 of Angel about 5 times, so you see, Dark Angel is not in the same class. But so far I think it's worth renting. :-)
